The Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs (LASODA) has been adjudged as the cleanest establishment among offices in Lagos State Secretariats in Alausa, and G.R.A Ikeja during the February monthly environmental appraisal for all Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
A statement issued by the Permanent Secretary, Office of Environmental Services, Mr. Omobolaji Gaji, said the competition was initiated to ensure and sustain a healthy and hygienic environment across all government premises.
Gaji congratulated the LASODA and urged the Agency not to rest on its oars but continue to exhibit a high sense of responsibility, commitment and focus at ensuring that its environment is effectively monitored and maintained.
The Permanent Secretary said: “I wish to commend and appreciate the commitment and dedication of the management of LASODA for maintaining a clean and healthy environment in consonance with the T.H.E.M.E.S agenda of the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu-led administration. I trust this recognition will spur you to greater heights of environmental cleanliness”.
In his remarks, the General Manager, Lagos State Office of Disability Affairs, Mr. Dare Ogundairo, thanked the Office of Environmental Services for the recognition and award.
While promising to ensure that the Agency will continue to maintain a clean environment, Ogundairo charged the staff and management to see the recognition as an encouragement to improve on their efforts in maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
